A little about me....
Shropshire born and bred with a passion for Painting and Drawing!
'All I do, and have ever wanted to do, is art'
Growing up in Shropshire, on a Christmas tree farm, Ive been lucky to be surrounded by animals and nature, and that inspiration is something I've drawn on. I spent my childhood feeding my love of art through Arts and Crafts, spending hours painting and drawing.
My family used to spend a lot of time at my grandparents' home on the East coast of Scotland, and they installed a real love of the countryside and wildlife in me. We'd spend many a day walking, going on picnics and taking photographs - most of my paintings come from pictures I took over many years.
In 2002 I went on to study Fine Art at Chester University and then completed a PGCE in Secondary Art Education. I went into secondary art teaching to pass my passion on to young people, and I loved it for 10 years, leaving in 2017 to pursue my dream of becoming a full time artist.
I now work from my studio at home, producing original art, prints and cards.
"Its a beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together" I feel so lucky to have a job I love and to be able to do art every day!
